Hi, I'm Sonia Agüera González (they/them) of Tenmei Illustration.

 

I'm a PhD-trained cell biologist and immunologist who has worked in England and France. After several years in academic research, I decided to integrate my lifelong passion for science and drawing making picture books.

 

I'm excited about using picture books to introduce kids to science. Science is really cool, and so much of it starts with a basic childlike attitude of asking questions. I also want to help scientists convey their findings to the world because so often fascinating results get lost in the flood of data.

 

I hope to help others, one drawing at a time. My mission is to provide parents, carers and educators with books to learn about science, equality, diversity, well-being and environmental topics with children.
